New Farmer U is a two-day training and gathering for beginning farmers who want to strengthen their farm business skills and build community along the way.
Farming means wearing many hats—including that of an entrepreneur and business owner. Understanding the ins and outs of financial planning, marketing, and business management is key to making your farm thrive.
This event is all about practical learning and real-world strategies. Expect farmer-to-farmer conversations, interactive workshops, small group discussions, and plenty of time to connect over shared meals and campfires.
Whether you’re just starting out or looking to sharpen your business approach, New Farmer U offers actionable tools and a supportive network to help you succeed!
NFU is co-hosted by Partners IN Food and Farming and Marbleseed and supported by the U.S. Department of Agriculture's National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA).
New Farmer U is a Marbleseed program that they host with regional partners in true collaborative style - they help provide support and outreach, and they leave the organizing to us. Marbleseed has asked PIFF to set the agenda to match what beginning farmers in Indiana need.
